About the Opportunity

Reliance Insurance has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Account Manager, Commercial Insurance, to join our team in our brand-new Burnaby, BC headquarters.

As our new Account Manager, you’re not just maintaining a book; you’re curating trust with our long-term VIP clients. Your significant contributions include:

  • Maintaining and expanding the book of long-term commercial VIP clients
  • Engaging directly with clients for renewals, record-keeping, and policy updates
  • Streamlining the process for C/L renewals, endorsements, and cancellations
  • Collaborating with insurers on underwriting, new business terms, and related tasks
  • Issuing certificates, bonds, and handling special event insurance promptly
  • Overseeing accounts receivable and efficiently managing abeyances
  • Proactively diving into new business territories and following up on leads
  • Leveraging technology tools, including EPIC and MS Office, for operational efficiency

About You

To qualify, candidates must possess a CAIB 2 / Level 2 BC Insurance license. Preference will be given to those with at least 5 years of current experience, however, candidates with less than 5 years under their belt are still welcome to apply!

A thorough knowledge of commercial insurance is imperative, and background in Directors & Officers, Errors & Omissions Insurance, or even financial statements will be considered assets.

Familiarity with software like EPIC, Outlook, Word, and Excel will be paramount to navigating this role.

About the Benefits

As part of the Reliance Insurance family, we offer a competitive starting base salary of $80K+, evaluated based on your industry skills and level of experience. In addition, commissions on an existing portfolio (as well as 25% on new business sales), will allow you to maximize your earning potential!
