We're looking for a remarkable Commercial Insurance Sales Representative to hop on board at our state-of-the-art headquarters in Burnaby, BC, with an in-office schedule.
About the Opportunity
Here's the deal: We’re building something new, and we’re backing it properly. This Commercial Insurance Sales Representative role has been created to support growing demand, with Reliance actively investing in marketing and outreach to keep the leads coming. Unlike many sales roles, you won’t be chasing cold prospects or inheriting a book of business. Instead, you’ll be front and centre, connecting with businesses that are already reaching out to Reliance.
Your role is all about momentum. You’ll be the first point of contact for warm inbound leads, jumping on calls quickly, asking the right questions, and guiding clients through the quoting process with confidence and clarity. It’s not just about selling insurance. It’s about listening, explaining value, and helping clients feel comfortable with the decisions they’re making.
As our Commercial Insurance Sales Representative, you’ll:
- Take ownership of warm inbound leads from our website and phone lines and turn conversations into bound business
- Dig into client needs, gather the right details, and prepare information required to move quotes forward
- Be supported by Reliance’s ongoing marketing and advertising efforts, designed to drive consistent inbound leads and set you up for success
- Work closely with our internal team and insurance partners to secure pricing and present coverage clearly
- Handle objections with confidence and resilience, knowing that rejection is simply part of the sales journey
- Build credibility and trust with business owners through strong communication and follow-up
What You'll Bring To The Table
First things first. You’ve had success in B2B sales, and you know how to build trust, guide conversations, and close opportunities with confidence.
You don’t need to check every box. If sales is your thing and you’re excited about building a long-term career, we want to hear from you, whether your background is in financial services, automotive sales, software, pharmaceuticals, professional services, or another value-based B2B environment.
What matters most is your mindset, communication style, and drive to succeed. Insurance knowledge can be taught. Your sales instinct cannot.
What will set you apart:
- Proven success in a sales role, ideally in a B2B or value-based environment where conversations, trust, and follow-through matter
- Confidence picking up the phone, leading client conversations, and clearly explaining pricing and solutions
- Resilience and persistence, with the ability to handle objections and rejection without losing momentum
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport with business owners
- A self-motivated, go-getter attitude paired with a genuine interest in learning something new
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness makes all the difference
Bonus points if you bring:
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry
- A Level 2 insurance license or the willingness to obtain one with our support
